G'day Bob.
I remember receiving an email from you early 2007 as you seen me lurking on the OLF and informed me that there was an Australian New Zealand Luthier Forum would I like to join? Well he didn't have to ask me twice and it has been the very best resource I could wish for to help show me the way with my guitar building hobby.
Thank you very much for all your effort and time given to the ANZLF.
I like a wee drop of Bourbon on the odd occasion.
Good luck with everything you do in the future.
Cheers
Alan

All the best Bob,
You've run a damn good forum and we are going to miss you.
Good luck with the whiskey - and no drinking the profits :dru :dru :dru

Hopefully Jeremy and myself will keep the forum running with no noticeable changes.....Bob's not dead yet so he'll no doubt maintain a presence in the background......sort of like an ANZLF version of God. Jeremy is an IT whizz so that side of running the forum is pretty well taken care of. That makes my job easy.....nuking spammers and dealing with the occasional "uppity" new member.

So Scotch?

I have a weakness for Honey Bourbon (American Whiskey)

Steve

Yeah, basically, but as it's not made in Scotland it's not allowed to be called scotch.

There are worse crimes...like calling a Scotsman "Scotch"

And many heartfelt thanks from me too, Bob. I've drawn great and valuable inspiration from this forum!
And as a Scotsman I think you could call your new Tassie/Scotch whisky; "Totch".
All the best with your new endeavours.

Sounds like a sweet retirement plan to me with many barrels of laughs to come. I hope you mature with your new products and prosper. 8)

Jeez, you go away for five minutes, now Bobs retiring and Martins in sell down mode....

All the best Bob, I retired a few years ago now and it's the best job I've ever had. Have fun with the hooch.

All the best to the new Great Leaders!

Don't worry....I'm just making a bit of room in the shop. I always bought wood in bulk with the intention of selling at least half of it off at some stage. The recent sales have been forced on me by a pending new house build...the workshop will be a temporary bedroom while the new house is being built. I just hope the wife will get used to the wood shavings on the bed.

Bob,

just want to thank you for setting this forum up and having things running ever so smoothly. I wish you good luck with your future adventure, it must be an exciting prospect. If you ever feel the need to come to the other tip of the world hunting for barrels I can take you on a guided tour to sone places where they make fine port - if they don't sell you the barrels, at least we can drink some of it. (This in an actual invitation)

Good luck!

I'll be coming to Europe next month but unfortunately to Italy. If travel plans change I'll be in touch. Don't mind a drop of port (or two or three)
