Who makes their own pickups

Post by simso » Mon Oct 30, 2017 9:29 pm

Who makes their own pickups, I make mine from scratch, that is, I make my own plates, bobbins, and so forth, of recent I have seen some new “pickups”appearing on the market, but to me they appear to be kit ones that they have wound.

I have to make a custom one tomoz, out of interest would love to see other people’s ones if they make them as well.

Cool cool, do you use alnico for your magnet material, primarily I use alnico, but occasionally I will use some carbon stainless for really odd custom sizes.

I have several models which use varied magnets ranging from standard PAF sized A2 through to custom made/sized C8.
