Quality Guitar Tuner

Post by Superoo » Mon Nov 13, 2017 9:48 pm

Hi to All,

I would like to purchase a good quality guitar tuner, suitable so that I can check intonation quite accurately.

Any recommendations out there ?

I'm happy to pay for quality...

cheers,
Chris

I use Peterson's Strobosoft running on my IPhone, iPad and also on a Windows Machine. There are a number of other packages around....

In terms of a software tuner I use AP Tuner on Windows which is free. A nice big display makes it easy to use when messing with a guitar.

It has a small quirk in that it is only when you expand the window that it gives you a proper meter display.

2nd vote for Peterson’s strobe tuner for iPhone.

Also does some very limited frequency analysis for looking at fundamentals and overtones.

Thanks for suggestions.

I already had stroboscope on my android phone, wasn't sure if its ok, but sounds like its fine.

Thanks again Gents...

Peterson’s strobe tuner, compact small flip top bench unit, I also have a big wall display tuner for customers to use when they are tuning and test playing their Guitar after repairs are finished.
