So i made a simple error. Can be fixed rather easily. Lets see if anyone can spot it? No it has nothing to do with CF - or the lack of.
Once spotted I'd like to know the thoughts on whether or not this matters - might be one for Trevor to chime in on.

Bridge plate upside down or is it the orientation of the short tertiary brace across the lower bout centre seam? Whatever it is it certainly isn't obvious.

Bingo!
Put the template on upside down when marking that one out.
Got me thinking, is that brace purely a centre seam reinforcement or is it doing something more? If it is primarily reinforcement i can't imagine the orientation would matter as long as its going across the join.
Had a quick squiz through the books and couldn't find much explaining what that little fella is doing.

Every photo of a falcate top i find online has it pointing towards the bass side of the upper bout.

I tend to agree. I actually think one of my early Gore classicals had that brace in the same orientation as yours.
