Mirotone PC 3220 - what is the resin?

Post by old_picker » Tue Sep 11, 2018 7:38 am

Been using this for a few years now with excellent results if you work within its parameters. I have often wondered exactly what resin is used.

Does anyone here know what is left on the wood after the smelly stuff is gone?
Is it a cellulose nitrate base?

They say its a nitro cellulose base in their documentation the last time I looked several years ago.

This morning when I looked at the formulation published by the makers, the resins are not disclosed. Who knows what it might be.

The MSDS sometimes gives a few clues but in this case it appears to only list the component compounds.
