Case for a Gibson L-OO

Post by blackalex1952 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 11:28 am

Can someone recommend a case for a Gibson L-OO please? I have checked out the Hiscox, but as I have to order one, not being in a city, it has been getting a bit tricky to work out if the instrument will fit any of their cases.
The guitar I wish to fit is 1000mm long, body length 500mm,upper bout 270mm waist 230mm lower bout 385mm depth at tail 110, depth at neck join 95mm and the distance from the neck to body join to the narrowest part of the waist is 185mm.
Cheers Ross

Guardian has a few cases made for the L-00 Nick Lucas. They're a bit deeper than the original L-00, but adding extra padding is easy. I've bought two of them and they were fine for what they were: ~ $100 US, sort of heavy, but not flight cases. Elderly has them here in the US, but maybe they're available down under?

Kym, the owner of my last commission build purchased a Hiscox case from a supplier in Melbourne. He sent over some paper tracings of the instrument and the supplier checked the patterns against the case before he made the purchase.

Drop Kym a PM (forum ID scripsit) and Im sure he can tell you the name of the supplier.

I've bought 2 Hiscox cases from The Acoustic centre in Sth Melb. They'll order them in for you if you want. I've picked them up so have taken the guitars to make sure they fit.
