Well produced and informative as always Robbie. Beautiful guitar.

I was thinking though that I would have made a new pick guard using the original as the template for holes etc, and kept the original in case having modified it, I found I preferred the original (which I do :D :D . Purely subjective I know but there's no way back if you modify the original.

Gotta wonder why the maker (assuming it was a custom strat) didn't make without a pick guard in the first place.

I agree. An original would have been nice in case you wanted to go back.
