Off to the States in the morning
By the time most of you get to read this I'll be sitting on a plane somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.
I arrive in New York Friday evening, spend a few days there and then head down to Virginia to visit Steve Roberson at Colonial Tonewoods.
I'm also meeting up with the people at Cedar Creek Cases to see what they can do as far as getting cases to us in Australia. I'm going to talk to them about deals for forum members so watch this space.
Next week I'm meeting up with Bob "Zootman" Cefalu of RCTonewoods and we're travelling across to Ann Arbor for a luthiers mini-convention that has been organised by David Collins and Hesh. Should be a very interesting meeting as there'll be a few heavyweight repair people and luthiers in attendance and I'll finally be able to take the piss out of Hesh in person. It's a pity Billy won't be there. (or will he)
I'll post some progress pics particularly of the wood that Steve and Bob have in stock.

Bob, have a safe flight, a low volume of intestinal flatulence discharge, and a happy landing. (Not to be confused with a "happy ending.")
We've got some of the nicest people on the planet here in the US, and I hope you run into one or two of them. (Just kidding - you made sure of it when you put Steve Roberson and Bob Cefalu on the itinerary - oh yeah, and that lovable guy with the pink cowboy suit and purple Dyson vacuum cleaner.)
Have a great trip!
Dennis

Well I can't wait to finally meet Bob and it will be good to see Uncle Bob (Zootman) again too. And I get to meet Vince this time as well.
Also Mario, not Mario from the Luthierforum but Mario from the great white north will be there along with Dan Earlywine.
We expect 50 builders/repair folks and it should be a fantastic time for all.
As always - expect to see plenty of pictures of the event posted here.
Stay tuned.
