Well I had to cut a 44mm hole and a 60mm rosette for a batch of sopranos.
Too small for the stewmac rig so....
Drill 2 new mounting holes 20mm in from the existing
cut a slot to pass the bit
bevel off the slider end
Works fine

Did the exact same mod to mine last year Jeff. don't know why they haven't done a redesign on this to accommodate ukes, mandolins etc.
