Thickness Sander shop built

Post by Taffy Evans » Fri Apr 08, 2011 8:40 am

This is an old [20years or so] drum from a sander I built long ago. In the background is the stand that it was mounted to along with a steel plate as the rise and fall bed, it now supports my new [had for 3 years ] drum sander As you can see the old drum is a steel tube with plates welded on the ends with 25mm shaft going through and bearings on the end.

This may give you builders some ideas if building your own.

Or you could buy this one, I'll put it in the Buy Swap section. It's heavy so freight my be a problem.
