Miter box fret slotting

Post by Dave M » Sun Jan 03, 2016 8:45 am

I find that a pair of folding wedges helps keep the fretboard blank firmly against the right side of the mitre box and are quick and easy to reset for each new fret position. A bit easier on the fingers than holding it in place.

Oh and a couple of dowels into dogholes in the bench keeps the box in place.

I have missed this post until now. Sorry Dave.
It is simple, elegant, cheap and effective - and solves an important problem. Love it.......
