Extracting the bolt bar

Post by Dave M » Sat Feb 08, 2020 3:33 am

I seem to have to remove the brass bolt bar from the heel quite a lot. And I like to leave it until fitting the heel cap to trim it to final length.

So a small hole drilled in the end which a woodscrew just grips helps a lot. I know, you probably all do but...

Nice fix Dave. I generally trim the sides of the hole so the bolt bar is a comfortable but not tight fit....it should come out by gripping with fingers and a gentle pull. Maybe not an option if you have fat fingers :)
