Re: Workshop tour - lets see yours!
Thank you Taffy for posting all those photos. I enjoyed every single picture of your posts here, and I have not yet finished discovering everything what there is to see. To me this looks pretty much like what I imagine must be "luthier's paradise on earth"!
Maybe some day you'll open a thread dedicated exclusively to your jigs you forgot what they are for, and we ANZLFers could guess what they might be!

Great workshop taffy! Thats the sort of place guitarist dream of visiting.

This is my current shop, I meant to take some shots before I started cleaning up, but I forgot .
I'm moving house in a few weeks and will have a new shed to fit out. It will be a dedicated luthiery shed, no camping equipment, no bikes, no lawn mowers, no cans of paint, no golf clubs, no car parts, no ladders and no leaning tower of air conditioners in the middle of the floor, just guitars....Can't wait

Hi Matt, you will enjoy having a dedicated workspace, but you will need another shed for all the other stuff you mentioned.
I was going to mention how low the dartboard was, then I realised you cant stand back far for a shot anyway.

Mines pretty sparse at present. Waiting till next year when I can buy a house on my land and Build the big shed

At least the Snortin' Norton has it's own room.
In the late 60's I used to hire, for a carton of cigs, my newlywed mates 750 commando. I'd ride south to San Diego or north to Santa Barbara. 4 hours return either way. Coast highway, fantastic. Did 90 mph once and got worried about hanging on.

That's actually what I love most about that bike. Every time I ride it I have guys coming up and telling me cool stories about back in the day.P Bill wrote:At least the Snortin' Norton has it's own room.

Here's a couple of pic's of the new shed. I'll have to insulate it and sheet it out before I can get started building new bench's and shelving etc. But it's exciting having a blank canvas to start with.

Re: Workshop tour - lets see yours!
That coffin in the first picture should come in handy if no body [pun intended] wants it. I had double power points about 20 of them installed. It was too easy walking around the workshop with the sparky with felt marker in hand making X's on the walls...one here....2 here...4 there, but I got a big shock [no pun intended] when I saw the cost of them.
