Telecaster and Hello

Post by MatthewM » Fri Oct 04, 2013 8:22 am

Hi All,

I have been lurking this forum for awhile and thought I would post my 2nd build which is a telecaster.

A big shout out to Tim Spittle who provided a stunning top for the guitar and Perry Ormsby who provided a flamed maple neck blank (both of which are stellar).

Next challenge is to do an acoustic guitar.

That looks awesome! I love the Telecaster body shape and those woods are beautiful

Hi Matthew, and welcome. That is a very beautiful Tele. Those other ones hanging on the wall will probably get played a lot less now you have your own build to pick up. And your playing time will be less if you have really caught the lutherie disease and start work on that acoustic! May God bless you - you are probably doomed.
cheers
Mark

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I've seen the level of detail you guys get on the acoustics and that's a whole new world.

I'm already hooked on the building (only done 2 electrics). It seems to have taken over the garage (and the wallet).

Got most of the tools sorted now but probably need to get a drum sander next... any recommendations?

Cheers
