This is my first Brazilian Rosewood guitar. Red Spruce top, EIR bindings, Honduran Mahogany neck, NSW Rosewood rosette with Paua ring, Ebony fingerboard, Red Spruce (Adirondack) top.
This is a lefty so I can't evaluate it properly dammit. I suck as a guitar player, and really really suck playing upside down or left handed and being BRW that is frustrating. All I can say is the treble E string sounds really nice.
This guitar has been the target of some bad language. I hate making lefty instruments because I always seem to stuff up something slipping back into the right handed groove. This one was especially frustrating because of two reasons apart from being a lefty. The sides were full of small worm holes that had to be filled. Around 50 holes in each side. Any other wood and it would be firewood, but BRW well then they had to be filled. My first attempt failed, some bad language. Second attempt worked a treat. That was epoxy mixed with BRW dust. Used Bote Cote Epoxy-E Glue which is a paste. Great stuff. After filling the holes, very carefully bending, no splits no breakage, phew. Then cut to length. Something wrong. AAAHHHGGGG!!! Lots of very bad language. One side was cut short, too short to recover from. I marked it wrong, marked from the inside of the mould not the outside. Never have done that before, it would have to be BRW! Any way, lucky I have another set with matching sides so managed to recover, but now I have a BRW back with only one side. Oh well, at least the guitar was finished and off to the new owner shortly.

Re: First BRW guitar
Hi Peter. That does look really tasty! The BRW has such lovely character. I would love to see some side shots to see how the IRW looks against the Braz - similar or complementary or contrasting? What is the black material in the saddle? How frustrating that you can't really play it to get the full effect. But it looks lovely.....

The rosewood on rosewood looks lovely. Like milk on dark chocolate.
