Maple, Snakewood and Adirondack Spruce 000

Post by Bob Connor » Sun Oct 17, 2010 6:28 pm

It must be 000 week or something :D .

Got this one set up today. Nice to be doing something different than staring at dodgy databeses

Curly Maple Maple back and sides
Adirondack Spruce top
Snakewood bindings, fingerboard, bridge and headplate
Curly Maple Neck.
Black - Blue Black purflings.

It sounds quite nice already. Given that it's Maple and Adi it's a fairly fundamental sounding sort of guitar but it's plenty loud with heaps of headroom.

Photos taken with the iPhone so they're not too flash . I'll post some better ones later in the week

Very nice one!

Very clean and visually simple design really lets the timber's features stand out... The snakewood is stunning and the lamination through the neck is a nice touch...

Starting to look like you like a blonde Bob, the way you've made that neck looks pretty good to me.

Very Nice Bob, the figure in the maple is outstanding and it's whiteness really projects the SW bindings beautifully, the neck is a cracker too.

Well done mate. :cl :cl :cl :cl :cl

Wouldn't expect anything less from you Bob! I too, am liking the Snakewood Fingerboard.

How does the 'balance' of the guitar with the maple neck feel to you(weight wise)?

Hmmmm! Gorgeous Bob. The whole guitar looks so tastefully appointed and as already stated, the snakewood fingerboard is the feature.

Thanks for the pictures.

Cheers

Bob, I prefer brunettes myself, but this one might make me change my mind. Nicely done. Any chance of a sound clip somewhere down the road when things settle down?
