#152 out the door

Post by tippie53 » Mon Jan 21, 2013 9:53 am

This is my 152 guitar. I swapped this for an organ that my Grandmother played in church. Maple , pre war spec hot hide glue and surprising how bassey this maple sounds. Red spruce top. A touch of toner in the nitro to pop the grain.

I like the Maple figuring, I presume the back is of similar figure? Rather partial to Adirondack tops I reckon they have a great tone. Nice job John but "Smoof"?? do tell.

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

That's some very nice work John.

What's the chance of a picture of the back and a closer look at your rosette :)

A beauty. I like the binding against the maple too.

I've always wanted a spruce/maple dread. Excellent work. That's a maple neck, too, I assume?
