Left Overs Guitar

Hi all,

A little Parlor with a full scale neck, kind of a "Mini Martin" style if you like, it was a bit of an experiment, so I used up all my leftovers, bits that are a little sub par but too good to discard.

B&S : Ancient Kauri.
Top : Sitka.
Bindings : Wenge
Rosette and Headplate : Ziricote,
Neck : African Mahogany.
Fret Board: queen Ebony.

Sounds louder than I expected and is described by everyone who played it as "fun".

Lends itself to blues, I feel.

Anyway, look at the pics.

Cheers,

Paul.

It's a wee thing, careful you don't lose it down the gaps in the lounge chair.

Nice left overs Paul. I've always been partial to a nice small body.

You can have a play on saturday night if you like.

I'll have it at the AGMS dinner.

Cheers,

Cool guitar Paul. I see that you went for a less glossy finish than your last one  .

Hi Stu,

Yes mate I did not want to put a heap of time into this one, so a matt finish was the go!

How many hours did the previous one take to buff?

Hi Stu,

A gloss finish is just a lot more work all round, not just the Buffing. it's all got to be spot on , gloss shows every little bump, spot and imperfection.

Matt is a lot more forgiving, That's why CC are all Matt I suspect  .

Cheers,

Nice little guitar Paul 8)

Not sure what it is about small bodied gits but people do seem to enjoy picking them up more than a regular size guitar. Perhaps its a subconscious thing were the player simply feel more comfortable as they are less intimidated by smaller things, a groundless perception of the mind that not so much will be expected from the player of a smaller guitar, or maybe that not so many people will be able to hear the inevitable mistakes??

What ever it is, people do seem to gravitate towards a small body guitar when they are spoiled with choice, and the best thing about whatever it is that makes them do that is they then seem to play with more reckless abandon when they do making small guitars just perfect for a party pass around. 8)

Cheers

Sigmund, if I may address you in such a familiar way, I have long wanted to ask you if one has dreams about small bodied guitars, what is one really dreaming about? I am asking on behalf of a friend.

Yoe Mike, not really sure but you may want to suggest to your friend that in order to re-adjust his subconscious thought processes during REM, perhaps when he's awake he should consider clicking on a few of them 'meet sexy girls near you now" links which seem so prominent on most of the web pages I visit these days...or is that just me???

Thank you Siggy, my friend will be relieved.

She was beginning to worry that she wasn't normal.
