telemaster and mustang

Post by aljosha » Thu Aug 27, 2015 3:51 pm

hy,

after my first Tour through OZ but I've been back home for almost a month now
and since I needed to order some things and decide on what acoustic to build next I took the time to dissolve an almost existential problem of mine
I didn't have a Tele
and while taking some snapshots of it I took some of my trusty Mustang as well, played that for about half a year as my main axe so it looks a bit worn already...

they both feature alder bodys, the stang has the standard 45mm and a rather thick one piece neck with the short scale
the tele has only 40mm, as a weight reduction measure, and a 70 classic strat neck (for now)

pickups are wound by me, the stang's mid one is there for catching feedback as that was something I needed in my old band...
might get kicked out or swapped for a sustainer at some point
the stang also features a kill switch in form of a taktile SMD, similar to Johnny Greenwoods, except that this one stopped working after a short while...
and a floating strat tremolo

tele has the 4 way switch series/parallel mod

thin nitro finish on both

and yes, the strap is a shoestring...

best
