8 String Tenor

Post by Allen » Sat Nov 07, 2015 9:48 am

Client has had this one for a few days now and said this.
Allen,
The uke arrived safe and sound about half an hour ago and I’ve been playing/exploring it ever since. I would like to say just WOW! and leave it at that but must also add that the instrument has exceeded my expectations. It has that superlative quality that confirms my decision to ask you to craft this wonderful object of joy for me. Therein lays good value.
Made from some Mahogany that I had stashed away on the back of my shelves. Streaky ebony fretboard, head plates and bridge. Cocobolo bindings and Gotoh Stealth machine heads. MISI under saddle pickup with volume and tone controls hidden inside the sound port.

That's a great endorsement for you Allen, and I can see why, it's another of your really fine ukes.

Just lovely Allen. That is an extraordinary set of mahogany. I hope you have some more of that stashed on that shelf, or will this be a one off? Great execution, as always.

No more of this stuff. It's extraordinarily difficult to find figured Mahogany these days.

You're getting the hang of these Ukelele things aren't you?
At the risk of repeating myself (cos I'm running out of superlatives for your work), just beautiful Allen and you've done that piece of Mahogany proud. :cl :cl :cl :cl :cl

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.
