Braziiain Mahogany Concert

Post by Allen » Mon Apr 04, 2016 12:51 pm

If there was just one timber that I was restricted to work with for the rest of my life, it would be Brazilian Mahogany. So easy to work with. The color is rich and classy. And the tone......It is really hard to beat.

This one a 16" long neck concert with 12 - 16" compound radius to the Indian Rosewood fret board. Beef Wood bindings. Gotoh UPT machine heads.

Looks fantastic Allen.

I agree - I built a L-00 guitar with Brazilian mahogany a while ago and it is great timber. I only have 1 guitar set left. Where have you been buying yours?

"I resaw all my own"
OK, smartypants.
Not only do you make the tastiest looking instruments but you cook them all the way from scratch. I am more than a little jealous - but some of us need to stay in the slow lane and just admire the results. Please keep serving them up for us to look at because they inspire good ideas.
