A tenor bound for France

Post by Allen » Sun Jul 17, 2016 4:01 pm

This one a commission for a muso from the south of France that I met when he was at the Sunshine Coast Uke Festival earlier in the year. He fell in love with a few of my ukes that were being shown there and asked me to build one as close as I could to the sound of an all mahogany one he played every time he passed by.

His kids name are engraved and inlayed in some curly Jarrah. The peg head veneers are Blackwood, and the rest of the trim is Indian Rosewood. Tuners are Gotoh 4:1 UPT's. MISI pickup installed and strung with Worth Browns with a high G. Finished in high gloss lacquer.
