Engelmann and Maple Classical

Post by Dave M » Wed Sep 27, 2017 6:28 am

I recently finished this cutaway classical. Since I don't have to sell them I don't need to worry too much about tradition!

It is Falcate braced and has a 20 inch radius on the fretboard. I have thought for a long time that cutaways were sensible for classicals, just as for SS. I in particular wanted a somewhat easier way to get to the high bits of the VIlla Lobos first prelude, and it is indeed much easier to reach.
I also wanted to do my own rosette this time, having bought in premade ones in the past. But I did not want to spend inordinate amounts of time on it. S a little basic but it just about works for me.
