Hi All, here some pics of my first resophonic guitar completed at the beginning of 2017.
It took some effort to design and build but I am very happy with the final result.
Some general information below:
All solid wood with the exception of the short soundwell which is made of laminated hardwood.
The back is floating like any acoustic guitar, meaning that the soundwell is not supported on the back bracing but only by an oversized neck to tail stick.
The aluminium cone/bridge assembly and the brass cover used 2 hardwood spacers (the brass cover spacer is visible from the pictures) , thus to allow easy conversion to standard biscuit bridge/cone but also ( in spider bridge configuration) to elevate the position of the strings from the top in order to improve comfort. The higher bridge position require an accentuated neck angle that results in increased strings pressure on the bridge thus allowing the use of lighter gauge strings with the same tonal response.

Type : Resophonic Spider Bridge guitar, 12 frets + cutaway with floating back
Top : Extra thick Italian Alpine spruce (Abete Val di Fiemme)
Sides : Plain Blackwood (very stiff stuff)
Back : Monkeypod
Neck : Mahogany with slotted headstock
Fretboard : Zebrawood with 25.4" scale lenght
Cone/Bridge : Replogle standard cone (268mm) with Replogle Spider bridge
Saddle : Maple with ebony tip, compensated
Strings : 12 gauge Ziko Brass
Finishing: Shellac

Hope you will like it as much as I do :-)

Hi, thanks for your comments. I am a very mediocre player and I do not have proper equipment to record a decent sound clip 😞
Anyhow, I will try to get someone more capable to test the Custom Rezo and possibly record a clip. Cheers
