14 frets dread in Louro Faia/Red Cedar

Post by Valben » Mon May 28, 2018 2:49 pm

This a dread style completed in 2017.
Some general information below:

Type : Dread like shape
Top : Red Cedar
Back & Sides : Brazilian Louro Faia
Neck : Mahogany
Fretboard & Bridge : Hard Maple, width at nut 46mm with 56mm e to E at the bridge
Strings : Ziko Silver plated phosphor/bronze - 11 gauge.
Finishing: Orange shellac.

Very clean, crisp and balanced sound, surprisingly not as bassy as the usual dread.

Beautiful work, I really like the look of a pale coloured fretboard.
