This an OM style completed in 2017.
Some general information below:
Type : OM like shape
Top : Italian alpine spruce (Abete della val di Fiemme)
Back & Sides : Amaranth (Purpleheart)
Neck : Cedrela
Fretboard & Bridge : Leopard Ebony (not much of a leopardy figure ), width at nut 47mm with 57mm e to E at the bridge
Strings : Martin Retro (Monel) - 12 gauge.
Finishing: Super blonde shellac.
My best sounding guitar at present, extremely low action, balanced sound with a lot of sustain, definitely a fingerstyle instrument.
Note : The Amaranth is not an easy timber to work with and I am not sure I will use it again. Also, it need long time between sanding and finishing steps as this timber needs to oxidize to get the nice purple color before the sealing process starts.
Cheers
