Hi All, this is my first 12 strings completed in 2018.
Some general information below:

Type : Dread like shape with deeper body and cutaway
Top : QSL Kauri
Back & Sides : Tasmanian Myrtle
Neck : Mahogany
Fretboard & Bridge : Ebony, width at nut 49mm

Strings : M200 Martin silk & Steel, ½” step down tuning
Finishing: Platina shellac.

I never had a 12 strings so it is difficult for me to describe how it sounds but considering the feedbacks received from experienced players, she is a nice full sounding guitar.

Note : The wet/wild/dirty look of the soundboard is somehow intentional😊

Cheers

Interesting Head plate shape with the alternating gold and black tuners.

I have a 46 year old Maton, FG150, 12 String Guitar, purchased new in 1972, from Palings in Sydney. About 10 years ago the bridge was shifting slight forward. I arranged for Jeff Malia to fix it up. I had new bridge installed and re-fretted. Sounds amazing today.

They are more involved to keep in tune, however, a 12 String guitar has a impressive full sound. Great to see you work on this one.

Regards
Wayne

Designing the headstock for a twelve string is quite a challenge. You got pretty straight string paths for yours so it should work well, but I notice that the 11th & 12th tuners, and the 1st & 2nd tuners, are in reverse order. It works, but do you ever get confused which tuner is for which string? Nice instrument though.

Hi Mark, was a compromise to keep the headstock style of my 6 strings. I had no problem with the inversions 1/2 and 11/12.. I got used quickly. Cheers Valter.
