First ukulele......

While I waited for the lacquer to dry on the baritone I posted yesterday, I was confronted by the horrible realisation that I no longer had an excuse to ignore all those pesky real world obligations. A few leftover bits from previous builds & the body outline & brace pattern from a concert ukulele kit & I thought a quickie uke build seemed like the perfect solution..... What did I know, I'd never even really looked carefully @ a ukulele before, much less the detail re scale length, neck, head, bridge shape or anything else for that matter. I also had a very tight timeline if I was to present both instruments to their owners as a pair...... Anyway, after quite a few very late nights & more than a few disasters, a little brother (or sister?) for the baritone got finished, although the oil finish was still a bit tacky when I handed it over.... Not sure if I'll rush into a second though....... :?
