Think i'm overdue for a build thread....
Finished this Flamenco Negra last week for Spanish guitarist Paco Lara.
6 week build from start to completion, strings on for the first time last Sunday, picked up by the customer on Wednesday, on stage on tour on Thursday. :D

Soundboard: Spruce
Back and Sides: Indian Rosewood
Neck: Toona (aus cedar)
Fretboard: Indian Ebony
Bridge: Brazilian Rosewood
Finish: Nitro satin (would have done a french polish but unfortuantely time restraints)
Rosette: Tas blackwood, and sassafras - Paco requested a non traditional Australian inspired rosette
Soundboard bracing: My 7 fan asymmetrical

Sound: Huge presence and volume, quick attack while retaining good sustain, "demands to be heard" - not my words

I didn't get any professional completion photos - slipped my mind in the rush to get her setup. But here's a few.

That's awesome Steve. So great to see it properly in use so quickly. What weight did you come in at?

I didnt weigh this one, and often don't bother these days.
But my negra's typically are around the 1.4kg mark, and i don't see this one differing from that.
As a comparison, my blanca's are typically around 1.1kg.

Steve it looks like a beauty. I loved seeing your workshop on the weekend but I wish I had been there a couple of days earlier so i could have seen that one. Lovely looking rosette. It is great that you are getting some high profile commissions. The word of mouth will probably be very effective promotion for you.

Steve

Another high quality guitar. Excellent result. I also like the rosette design.
