Lord Vader

Something a bit different again, This is meant to be an everyday player. You now the one that just sits by the amp and get picked up in the spare time. It may look different but it's still just a guitar.

Specs;
All Fijian plantation mahogany body and neck
Body covered in a Carbon / kevlar mix. neck covered in carbon, all resin used was West 105/207.
Scale is 24.562" and has a n Ebony board.
22 SS jumbo fretts.
Tuners are Sperzel
Tremolo is a Schaller 4201, fitted to Tonepro studs
Pickups are made by Adrian Turner ( Adeson) in England called "Incendiary" and measure Bridge 14.6k and Neck 13.4k now out of production.
Switching is three way for N, N+B and B, both N and B are split to single coils via pull pots on Vol and Tone.
Weight is 3.045kg or 6.7lb
Feel free to ask any questions.

I can't believe I finished this one about a year ago and haven't started another yet.
I may do something more standard. Cheers Mark

Hi Mark,
Looks great!
How is the tremolo? It looks like it's integrated with the bridge - which looks like it has roller saddles? Very neat and tidy looking!
Nice short scale - bet it's easy to do bends.
Thanks,
GregL.

A nice looking guitar and I'd be quite happy owning this instrument. My one question...why cover a wooden core with carbon fibre/kevlar? The CF/Kevlar certainly produces a visually appeal but are there other reasons for doing this?

Hi Greg, the Trem is a drop in replacement for a Les Paul. I've got one of these on an electric from Ray Berketa many years ago and was impressed with it then, so it was a known quantity.

Thanks Martin. Purely cosmetic for the CF, but it does make a nice tough skin. Ever see those old videos of guitarists smashing there guitars over their amps, This one would win :D

Nice shape of the body, and especially the headstock. Great overall look.

I like the creative body shape and style of this guitar, it has a character that is interesting. Love the finish too.
