Thought i'd show off a recent build from one of my students at the Australian Guitar Making School - Sydney, guitar number 748 for the AGMS.

This guitar was built by Tony throughout 2018 and sprayed throughout March/April this year. This is Tony's first acoustic guitar build, and his first significant wood working project.

Spruce Soundboard, Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides, QLD maple neck, gidgee fretboard (with sapwood fret markers), Indian rosewood bridge, blackwood bindings, rosette and headplate veneer are offcuts from the back/sides.
Falcate Braced.
Gloss nitro finish.

Wow. For a first time build he really nailed it. He must be stoked, and I guess his teacher is too! The design and execution are excellent, and it looks like you could dive into the figuring of that blackwood.

Great wood selection and interesting inlay design and detailing. It look like a winner to me.
