Torres Style

Post by Dave M » Sat Jan 11, 2020 4:53 am

I was so pleased last year with a Maple/Engelmann braced like The Torres SE 114 that I thought I would do another to see if it was just a fluke. Well it wasn't. This one came out really well also, in American Walnut and Engelmann. They have a very similar sound with some just discernable differences on the higher frets. As many of you will know the fan braces on that one are incredibly thin - like 2 -2.5 mm which leads to a seriously responsive top. The bridge rotation test suggest that they are stiff enough to hold up though.

Cheers Dave M

Really nice Dave. I’m digging the non-traditional body shape :cl
