BRW selmer

Post by 56nortondomy » Tue Jan 28, 2020 4:38 pm

Almost finished after about 14 months just a p/up to install at the f/b end. I have to say this was the most difficult guitar I've built so far, had quite a few problems early on especially getting a nice top joint after bending the pliage. I have to thank Ross from our forum for a lot of good advice that really helped. At the owners request the last brace was left off the top and replaced with lattice, I didn't want to do that but I have to say it worked out great. Not sure why but the photos of the top look a bit yellow I've included an earlier one which is what it looks like. Sounds great by the way, I had a friend have a play on it.

Congratulations on your patience.

Thanks Alan. It was a misery at times but I guess it was worth it. Wayne

Looks great Wayne. They can be a challenging build but looks like it was well worth it!
