Headplate Burls Morrel & Eucalyptus Vasi....?

Post by TimS » Sat Oct 20, 2007 8:24 pm

Headplate Options

I have two types of burls from which I have been able to resaw headplate width slices which could also be resawn into matched pairs. All the pieces will need to be stored to season slowly. I will end seal all the material before shipment. There will be some degrade which will reqire filling but the figure should look quite stunning. I would recommend letting the burl dry for 12 months. Please resist the urger to slice it into thinner sections until then.

Morrel slices are priced at $20 with at least 300mm of continuous colour. Each piece is about 15mm thick and max 75mm wide and 500 - 600 long. There are three slices for each of the two grain figures.
