Re: New years
Thanks Aidan, Happy New Year to you and all the rest at the ANZLF
It's been a tough year for many in AU with visits to so many areas from drought, fire, flood, and Oprah....then there's the Ashes series...we won't even talk about that. Tragedy all over the place in 2010 when you look back and over the globe. But I really hope our Kiwi mates get a bit better shake of it in 2011. With the Christchurch quakes and the Pike River mine disaster its been a tough one alright but if there's one thing we all share here in the antipodes its that resilience ANZAC spirit.
Lets all hope for better for all.
Cheers and have a great 2011
Kim

Re: New years
Happy 2011 everybody! 2010 was indeed a bit of a crap year for us South Islanders, we've taken a slight pasting but as Kim said, in the true ANZAC spirit, you just get on with it though, don't you! Hopefully nobody on the forum has suffered as a result of the current flooding, I think I can handle the ground wobbling but to see all your life getting coated in brown silt must be heartbreaking. My thoughts are with anybody that is affected by the Queensland flooding at this time (not just on the forum here but any of our Aussie neighbours). Mother Nature sure is fighting back! All around the globe it would seem.
One bright cloud on the 2010 landscape for me at least, was a higher profile for my guitars, I seem to be making & selling them pretty much straight away so hopefully that continues into this year Although hopefully my first 'build' this year will be completely unrelated to guitars but still music focussed, once I've thrashed out some details & got the $ go ahead from the customer.
Good luck to everyone & may your skills continue to improve this year! hopefully by the end of it our gallery section will bulge with even more beautiful craftmanship.
