Nick, that dog is obviously an OH&S minded dog making sure there is no chance of falling! Like you said way ahead of humans who tend to do planking where gravity can make them look foolish, injured or dead!
Strange...I haven't felt the need to get into this craze :?

That's not rigor! That's the glass of Napoleon brandy he's all but consumed! He's bloody comatosed.

And then there's Plinking of course, everybody should take up this craze.

Q: First extreme planker?

A: Rollie Free, 1948 at Bonneville salt flats Utah USA, while setting a new US national motorcycle speed record @ 150mph on the first Vincent Black Lightning in his togs.

Jayzusss! Talk about combining two 'extreme' pastimes into one, either one could kill ya! The togs were good for another 10mph I take it?
Mind you if that rear mudguard gives way it'll be more than bloody chestnuts roasting in the fire, that would leave one hell of a skid mark in his crusties!

Any man with the balls to lay out like that in his undies on a 1948 motorcycle and do 150mph on a salt flat has plenty enough spare to absorb the wear factor with a smile in case of an accident I recon Nick.

I'd say that Rollie would be the kind of bloke that could operate with a chain and sprocket where his business is spose' to be and still get girls pregnant at 15 paces using just a short but intense stare.

The Chuck Norris of the 1940's indeed.

Apparently this the first Vincent motorbike to sport a rear shock absorber. Can't help but think that Rollie may have insisted on that one.

Don't thank me, the bloke's thongs didn't even blow off. He's pretty much my idol.

There not 'thongs' Liam, its callous from pulling the old vinie up on the salt...they may have come up with a rear shockie that year, but brakes weren't released until the 19'58' model...'real' men back then..

Those crusties could turn to shreddies if the guard gives way and he will have trouble with more than plonking.
