just noticed PRS guitar prices...

I am not having a go at PRS or the seller at all and I know prs have a good name with quality but some of these prices are just ridiculous!

http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/electric/prs/

they want $45000 for the Tonare Grand acoustic! How on earth did they come up with that?? It might be made with brazilian rosewood but $45000!? WTF?

Sure these are gorgeous guitars and they probably play fantastic but I still just cant believe some of these prices...

Holy shite Andrew. Reckon the mass of the BRW must just about rival the price of Gold.

So what SHOULD a guitar cost, that treated well will last longer than you or I?

The price of that guitar is the same as the trade-in loss on a 12-24 month old Landcruiser, HSV, Euro, or a DECENT holiday for the family, etc etc etc.

If more luthiers were actually proactive around pricing, we'd see a lot less "there is no money in this career".

$45,000 is expensive only to those that cannot afford it.
