Happy birthday Christian....

Sounds like the North Island is copping it weather wise right now. Hope there's not too much flooding where you are.

Was up in Paihia a couple of weeks ago, had a shot on the news tonight, not the same place! Main sea frontage was taking a bit of a pounding from waves. State highway 14 has been closed due to fallen trees e.t.c.
Happy birthday Christian, just hope you haven't spent it with a bailing bucket in hand!

Thanks guys!!

The cyclone was a complete fizzer!! I think the weather forecasters talked it up to much, but I guess they have to play it safe these days especially if poor old Chch is in the firing line. I didn't see any real damage in Kerikeri just the odd fallen branch, we didn't get much rain at all, which we could have really used.
We went over to Paihia for dinner and there were people tow in surfing and swimming as if it was just another cracker day at the beach! mad buggers!

Cheers,

Christian.
