My Heshtone

Post by Serge » Mon Oct 08, 2007 3:13 pm

Hi folks, since i have a hard time getting back in the shop( Iknow, cleaning isn't always fun but you gotta do it sometimes, right? ) , i decided to post a few pics of my marvelous Heshtone, i've been playing with it most of the evening and man, that guitar is just fascinating, it's just got a wonderful voice!

I can never thank Hesh enough, even after more than a year, i still have this warm feeling when i think of our gathering at BobC's, great memories that will last forever...Thanks again bro!

I also recorded a video/soundfile with it on my wife's computer but the ^*#^%$^ VISTA wouldn't allow to send it, i'll see if i can manage to get the file here somehow!

Serge, my friend, you know being the proud owner of a Heshtone puts you in a very small group indeed! (Lucky son-of-a-gun!)

I can't wait to put my slimy hands on her again! I've been practicing a lot lately and I'd love to share some new pieces with you...

However, knowing you full well, I just have to ask... When was the last time you changed strings on her??? LOL... You know, it's not because Hesh changes strings about every two years that you have to do the same! Ha!!!

I'll see you this week and I'll bring you some strings...

HA! Good eye dude, that's why i didn't take any close ups, i knew you would notice!

But still, she just is amazing to play with, a wonderful warm voice getting better with time just like red wine, (Thank God i don't drink no more tho! )

Can't wait to hear you play some Don Ross on it you, my Van Alain you!

Thanks, Bob. That was really nice to see Serge in action!!!!. Serge, that sounded great, both the guitar (Hesh) and your playing. I don't know if I could keep up with you. Thanks for providing that.

That was great Serge! First time I've heard your voice and your fine pickin'.
Your Heshtone does sound super nice! It's a walnut right? So what kind of top does it have ?

Serge would you mind if I posted this link on the OLF - your pals there would love to see you and they will get to finally hear a Heshtone too?

Many thanks my friend!!!!

Don't ask me why Dave, must be that i was amazed at the angel wings shaped walnut on that guitar that i completely forgot what kind of top it has... Hesh, help me please!

Hesh, go ahead bro, my humble performance is yours, glad it brought a smile to your face my brother! :D

Many thanks Serge I will run and post this clip now. In no time people will be asking for your autograph! :D

Dave Serge's guitar is American Black Walnut (that Uncle Bob had), Sitka top, and ebony bindings. It is one of the last scalloped braces guitars that I ever built before playing with parabolic braces.

Serge my friend that was great!

Wish I could play like that. The Heshtone sounds great. Now I know what a real guitar is suppose to sound like. Time to get back to the drawing board for me.

Thanks Hesh and Rod!

I really think that this combo is winner, the stiffness of that sitka top and the density of the walnut must assuredly play a role in the rich tone that this guitar has, i owned and played quite a few guitars in my young life but this one is just a total YES YES YES!

My hat's off to the builder! :cl :cl :cl :cl :cl
