Ah, does my engineering heart good to see that John, thanks for posting :D . It's always been something I've thought of filling in my days with, when I'm retired. That crankshaft :shock: , getting the crank angles setup for machining, exactly between crank pins is no mean feat for a start! Didn't show how he achieved machining the camshaft or rockers but still had my jaw hanging open.
Which brings me to a question.....does anybody know if swallowing flys is good for you? :lol:

Loved it! Brought back memories of turning crankshafts at BHP. They had much bigger throw, of course, so had to be counter-weighted. Very tricky set-up but highly rewarding.

Nice work. I'm a great fan of model steam engines....goes back to when I built a basic steam engine back in primary school. I swapped the thing for a pile of Beano mags....that was a really stupid thing to do :(
