Hot

Post by kiwigeo » Mon Dec 07, 2015 7:45 pm

Adelaide sweltered through it's hottest December night since 1897.....overnight low was 31degC.

I know today was hot because the friggin' Titebond glue was setting pretty much as soon as it came out of the bottle during a binding/purf job today.

Another heat wave here. Yesterday the West Systems epoxy had a pot life of about 10 minutes.....was one of the fastest pore fill jobs Ive done ever!

Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter with a cool change due in on Sunday.

I won't do glue ups in these hot temps as I don't want to risk glue failure. Same with paint, it's too hot for the products I use to work as they are supposed to.

It only lasts a short period of the year so I consider it time to do other jobs.
