Adelaide getting pounded

Post by seeaxe » Wed Sep 28, 2016 7:32 pm

Hi Martin, you wont be reading this because your (and the rest of SA) power is off, apparently.

Here's hoping you and yours are all ok and that tonewood stash is safe from the biggest hailstones I have ever seen (on a video clip)

And likewise for any other ANZLFers in SA.

Good luck people

Cheers
Richard

Thanks for your concerns Richard. The state lost power about 3.30pm yesterday and we were blacked out until 9.30pm. All things considered the various energy bodies did a good job getting the network up and running again. Im in a bushfire prone area so have a bushfire kit always ready so there was a battery radio for news updates and a 4G modem so I could maintain internet access. The wood fire took care of heating and cooking so we were not in too bad shape.

More high winds due through this afternoon so were not out of the woods yet.

It went a bit dark this morning, then a few heavy showers then a few decent thunderclaps. All over by lunch time. Now patches of blue.
I think we got off fairly lightly.
More rain next week here also!
