Windows 10 anniversary update

Post by peter.coombe » Mon Oct 03, 2016 1:25 pm

Cursed Windows!! Looks like MS f--ed up again. Last night my Win 10 system installed a massive update. This morning MS Word wouldn't work, and Windows did not recognise my backup disk. Then a Windows crash. OK, so try a system restore. No system restore point!! System restore is turned off! How did that happen? I sure did not turn it off. To cap that off no Internet! Fixed the Internet issue and looks like a lot of other people are experiencing problems.

This could take a while. Not happy.

The tuners would seize, the tailpiece would break and the strings fall off. Yes well just as well they do not.

Win 10 is mostly working again now.

I got sick of the updates causing problems so I went into control panel and turned them off, I've had no updates for about 2 years and no problems either.

Not wise to not do any windows updates in 2yrs. You should at least do the security updates.

Unfortunately very true. No updates and you become a sitting duck for hackers which can be automated hacking software, and you probably won't even know you have been hacked.
