Greg Lake gone at 69

Post by kiwigeo » Fri Dec 16, 2016 8:04 pm

A large part of my youth was spent listening to two bands...Yes and ELP. Keith Emerson passed away last year (at his own hand) and a few days ago Greg Lake succumbed to cancer. Greg Lake had a brilliant voice and Ive always loved his bass and guitar work.

"From The Beginning" was the first ELP song I ever heard. I cant find any live versions of this song that quite match the original off "Trilogy". So here's the original.....as always the guitar Lake is playing is a Gibson J200.

ELP was, is, and always will be one of my all time favorites. To me, the music they made rose to a level far beyond the bands of the era. They made Rock magic and expanded it in a way no one else has ever done.

Who will fill the shoes ???????????????
