Telealike.

Post by DarwinStrings » Sun Jan 21, 2018 5:20 pm

I posted some photos of this in the build forum at some stage so here is the finished guitar.

The fancy cap is sugar gum from Pete (Curly) body is Aussie cedar with tassie oak rear cap and the neck is Aussie silver ash. I had had the idea for the faux pickguard in my head for years and finally got it out.

How did you do the tiny pin striping around the guard?
That is a great looking guitar.

It is purfling inlaid into the book matched cap.

Great question Jeff because I know the answer. No back hatches and no pickguard to remove so all the electrics go in through the bridge pickup pocket then that gets covered with the ashtray.
