Alder Scrounge

Post by DarwinStrings » Sat Oct 27, 2018 1:01 pm

Hey ANZLFers I am looking for a bit of what I assume is red alder, to do some patching in a Japanese Fender strat body that was made in 1985, that is I want to fill the trem hole and control cavity so something in the range of 500mm x 80mm x 25mm would do the job, I am happy to pay cash or swap for something I have laying around that you might find useful.

I put this here Martin for the coverage rather than the buy swap section, can you do me a favour and leave it a few days before you move it please.

I may have one Alder body blank there, I can’t remember if I sold it or not. This is the lighter coloured American stuff. Close colour to ash.

I know that’s a lot bigger than you’re asking for, let me know if you’re interested and I can look at my stock to see if it’s still there.

Update, I just quexked and all the Alder I had here has been sold. I won’t be importing any more either. Sorry I can’t help.

Cheers anyway Allan and yep I only need a bit, no use wasting a whole body. I will use something else if I need to as it will be painted but I have a bit of time so thought I'd take the long shot. Thanks Martin.
