Rosewood

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know of a reliable source of rosewood? I've been looking and haven't been able to track any down, anyone else had this problem?

Tim Spittle runs Australian Tonewoods over in Perth, WA. His site is closed until late February but there's a mobile number on his website. Give him a ring and discuss with him what you're after.

A lot of the Indian Rosewood in my stash has come from LMI in the US. I generally bought in bulk to keep per unit freight costs down.

Darryl at Wheeler Custom Lutherie has a lot more wood than he advertises in his online store. I have bought EIR from him a few years ago. Give him a call.

Darryl used to work at Gilet's didn't he? I recall dealing with him a few times and he was excellent to deal with.

I tried LMI but they don't ship Rosewood outside of the US any more, which is annoying, I was thinking of getting it shipped to someone in the US then getting them to ship it to me in NZ, with finger crossed hoping customs don't incinerate it.....

I'll also check out wheeler guitars.
cheer for the responses.

I can provide a contact of a dealer in India if you are interested. I have bought some timber from them recently and all went well. cheers Valter
