000- 12 Nera in Blackwood/German Spruce

Post by Valben » Mon Jul 25, 2022 11:25 am

Hi everyone, sorry for the long absence from the forum. It has been quite some time since the last guitar built as I have been distracted with other projects (mainly Native American flutes and a drum .. yes a drum with an hairy deerskin :D ).

Anyhow, here we are with the last build, the Custom Nera:

Details:
- Near 000 size with 12 frets at the body.
- Scale length 25.4".
- Width at nut 46mm with zero fret.
- Brass strings counter plate
- Super Blonde Shellac finish
- Set-up with 11-gauge silk & steel strings
Woods:
- Soundboard: German Spruce
- Back & Sides: Blackwood
- Totara neck with Matai fretboard & bridge
- fern style soundhole and fretboard inlays
- Rewarewa pickguard
- Rewarewa binding job

Hi Valben,
You may have been absent from the forum for a while but you certainly have produced a stunning guitar.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice Wayne. That rosette inlay looks tricky but very crisp.
